Start Your Application

Complete the Employment Application and write “Search and Rescue Volunteer” in the Position Applied For field at the top of the form. The release and waiver are included as part of this application.

Apply and complete training

Submit an application through the Wasco County Sheriff's Office, then complete the Oregon State Sheriffs' Association training within 2 years. All required training is provided.

Reach out and come to a meeting

Email us to let us know you're interested and come to a monthly meeting to meet the team and ask questions before you apply.

Meet the basic requirements

You must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a criminal background check and personal reference check.
